Aujourd'hui, je suis allée à Arles!
I went on a photography trip with my classmates today!
I really like my classmates, they're so funny and I'm so happy to be in this class! :)
One of the exhibition was about "music". Inside, there were lots of covers of records with album/song titles, artist's information and the meaning of the jackets of the records.
I didn't know any artists and albums and I was writing down some names of artists to listen to their music later. (Typical indie music lover hahah)
But at the end of the exhibition, it turned out to be FAKE. All of them! None of the artists/albums exist!
I was shocked… Some albums jackets were so cool that made me feel the music will be cool too…
It made me think about all the advertisement surrounding my daily life.
The scary side of advertisement is that they only tell good points of the product, which gives us a good impression of it, and you go shopping and you buy it. It's a normal cycle of producers and consumers. Once we're told something, we tend to believe it and forget to reconsider it...
It's terrifying to think how many information I get everyday might be false…
After the exhibition, I walked around the town of Arles with Elodie, Lilou and Florent, they've been helping me a lot with my school in France and I'm so thankful for them :) Merci beaucoup!
I wouldn't have survived the first two days of school without them… it was very confusing and different from Japan!
Anyway, Arles, like any other places in France, was incredibly beautiful.
